Create a Tournament
How to create a new tournament from scratch or from a template inside a Tournament Suite project.
Every tournament lives inside a project. Before you start, make sure you have a project set up — then you can create as many tournaments as that project needs, each with its own settings, brackets, and participant list.
Where to find it
Navigate to Projects → [Your Project] → Tournaments → Create tournament.
Step by step
- Open your project and click Tournaments in the left sidebar, then click Create tournament.
- On the creation screen, choose how you want to start:
- From scratch — build the tournament manually from the ground up.
- From a template — browse the template library, filter by category, or pick from the recommended templates for your game or format. See Tournament Templates for details.
- Enter a tournament name — this is the internal working name visible only to organizers at this stage.
- Select the game or discipline the tournament is for.
- Choose the participant type:
- Solo players — individual registrants competing as themselves.
- Teams — rosters of multiple players registering under a team name.
- Set the region for the tournament.
- Click Create.
What happens next
Your tournament is created in draft mode — it is private and not visible to players yet. The next step is to configure your settings. Start with Tournament Settings Overview to see all available configuration tabs, or jump straight to Registration Settings to open sign-ups. When everything is ready, follow Publish and Go Live to make the tournament public.
