Track and Resolve Issues During a Live Event
The issue queue gives staff a structured way to log, assign, and resolve problems that arise during a tournament — from player reports to technical failures.
The issue queue is a lightweight ticketing system built into the Live Operations workspace. When something goes wrong during an event — a player reports suspicious behavior, a match is stuck, a technical problem occurs — you create an issue to track it. Issues can be assigned to staff, filtered by priority, and closed with a resolution note once resolved.
Where to find it
Projects → [Project] → [Tournament] → Live Operations → Issues
Direct path: projects/[id]/tournaments/[id]/live-ops/ (select the Issues tab)
Step by step
Create an issue
- In the Issues tab, click Create issue.
- Write a short description of the problem.
- Link the issue to the relevant match or participant using the search field.
- Assign it to a staff member from the assignee dropdown.
- Set a priority (Low, Medium, High, Critical) and a category (Technical, Conduct, Match dispute, Other).
- Click Save. The issue appears in the queue immediately.
Work through the queue
- Open the Issues tab to see all open issues.
- Use the filters to narrow by status, assignee, priority, or category.
- Click any issue to open its detail view.
- Update the status as work progresses: Open → In Progress → Resolved.
- Add notes directly in the issue to record what was found or what action was taken.
- If the issue requires a decision above your authority, click Escalate and select the appropriate staff member or role.
Close an issue
- Once the problem is resolved, open the issue.
- Set the status to Resolved.
- Enter a resolution note describing what was done and why.
- Click Close issue.
The full history of the issue — all status changes, notes, and assignments — is preserved in the audit trail and visible to authorized staff after the event.
What happens next
If resolving the issue required a match-level action (forcing a result, pausing a match), those steps are covered in Match interventions.
If the issue involves a formal dispute that needs a referee ruling or a published decision, move the case to the officiating workspace. See Officiating and disputes.
Apply Interventions to a Match
Organizers can force results, pause, resume, cancel, or roll back actions on individual matches when something goes wrong during live play.
Handle Officiating and Formal Disputes
The officiating workspace is where referees and moderators review cases, issue formal rulings, and manage dispute resolution from submission through publication.
