Tournament Settings Overview
A guide to all settings tabs available for a tournament and what each one controls.
Once a tournament has been created, a full set of configuration tabs becomes available. Each tab controls a distinct area of how the tournament looks, runs, and behaves. You do not need to complete every tab before publishing, but certain settings — like the tournament name, game, and structure — are required.
Where to find it
Navigate to Projects → [Your Project] → [Tournament] → Settings. The tabs appear in the left panel under the Settings section.
Step by step
Work through the tabs that apply to your event:
- General — Set the tournament name, start and end dates, and visibility. This is where you control whether the tournament appears in public search results.
- Registration — Configure when registration opens and closes, set a participant cap, enable auto-accept, and manage fees. See Registration Settings for a full walkthrough.
- Participant rules — Define team size limits, country or age restrictions, and whether teams must be pre-formed before registering. See Participant and Match Rules.
- Match rules — Set the default match format (best of 1, best of 3, etc.), score reporting permissions, check-in requirements, and overtime rules. See Participant and Match Rules.
- Gaming / Eligibility — Require players to link a specific game account (e.g. a Steam profile or in-game ID) before they can register. Useful for verifying rank or platform eligibility.
- Identity — Set the public-facing slug and display name that appear on the player-facing tournament page and in URLs.
- Appearance — Upload a tournament logo and banner, and choose accent colors for the public page.
- Contact — Add organizer contact information (email, Discord, website) that players see on the public tournament page.
- LAN — Configure venue-specific settings for offline events, including location details and on-site check-in options.
- Permissions — Control which staff members have access to this tournament and what actions they can perform.
- Veto — Set up map veto rules if the game uses a pick-and-ban system before matches.
What happens next
After configuring your settings, move on to setting up the tournament's competitive structure. See Tournament Structure and Formats to configure brackets and stages, or go to Publish and Go Live when you are ready to open the tournament to players.
